Opioid Use Disorder Treatment at ReVIDA Recovery® Wytheville
Beginning the journey to recovery after any amount of time with an opioid addiction is an immense challenge. As you battle with your own mind and body against urges, it can be easy to lose sight of the end goal.
When opioids are taken away, we as humans can go into a full-blown panic because our minds and bodies have become used to having opioids as a means for survival. The reality is, we don’t need them.
Still, the change is not easy to make. We understand that at ReVIDA Recovery®.
We also understand breaking the cycle of opioid addiction is not a straight road, and sometimes the journey involves many trips to many different recovery centers. Our supportive staff is ready to help regardless of your past treatment experiences and whatever stage of the journey you are in.
We are also ready to help regardless of your health insurance status. We accept most major national providers, and that includes Virginia Medicaid.
How Suboxone® Can Help
When a person uses opioids, they block the pain sensors in their brain. This happens regardless of the stage of addiction a person is in. Over time, though, the high felt from opioids begins to lessen and leaves a person wanting more.
When the decision is made to stop feeding the cravings for more and more, your brain and body will start to fight back against you. That’s when you will begin to have withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms often include feeling generally sick, anxious, scared, and depressed. These feelings, more often than not, are just too much to overcome alone.
Because opioid detox is so difficult to do alone, ReVIDA Recovery® believes in the effectiveness of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with the help of Suboxone®, which is a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Suboxone® and MAT in general have been found to be effective in:
- Improving Survival Chances
- Keeping People in Treatment
- Improving Pregnancy Outcomes
- Improving Employment Opportunities
- Lowering Opioid Consumption and Illegal Activity
What a Visit to ReVIDA Recovery® Looks Like
Life is busy. We know that. Between making sure you pay your bills, maintaining your household, running errands, going to work or job hunting, or whatever else the day throws at you, it is hard to make it through a single day without falling behind.
At ReVIDA, we have made the path to receiving help much easier. We have set up a simple process with our caring staff that will get you treatment in a timely manner.
During a visit to our center in Wytheville, you will meet with our team in a series of meetings to help you start MAT, which is designed to help you throughout the journey to recovery. Each meeting will last from 15-50 minutes and will get you out the door to continue with your busy day.
During the visit, you will meet with three people:
- Your Doctor
- Your doctor will write your prescription for Suboxone® and any other medications you may need relating to your mental health.
- Your Patient Care Coordinator
- More often than not, your patient care coordinator will be a nurse practitioner. This person will help you in building resources outside of the treatment facility. This includes helping you find job opportunities, education, extended therapy time, or anything else that will benefit you and your future.
- Your Therapist
- Your therapist will help you in answering the challenges you may face with your mental health from before treatment or during treatment. During meetings with your therapist, you will gain the tools needed to deal with things like trauma, family conflict, emotions, communication, goal-setting, and more.
You Are Valuable

Beginning with MAT, you will open yourself to more time spent uncovering potential triggers or causes for your substance misuse with the help of our on-site therapists, care coordinators, and certified counselors.
Outpatient Treatment in Wytheville
Along with getting a prescription for Suboxone®, at ReVIDA Recovery® Wytheville, patients can participate in our structured outpatient program. The program allows for patients to receive additional care while maintaining a life outside of the treatment center.
The ReVIDA outpatient program is a flexible but structured treatment that will get you off of the dangerous opioids found on the streets of our communities.
